All Service Users will be expected to contribute to the weekly costs of their Care Home Fees, the amount of which is dependent on several factors and will be identified following a Financial Assessment provided by the Local Authority.
Abbeyside Care Group is not privy to the detail of an individual’s assessment and instead is notified by the Local Authority of how much their contribution towards Fees will be.
It may be an individual is in a financial position to meet the full cost of care, and therefore a financial assessment may not be necessary. In this instance the full cost of fees are payable from the Service User. However, these individuals may still be entitled to the Free Personal and Nursing allowances provided in Scotland, which are paid directly to us the Care Home by the local authority. Further information regarding this allowance can be obtained from your local authority.
